- The Lords and Ladies of New Leaf
Hear ye, hear ye! The Fort Tryon Park Medieval Festival is September 28!
Come enjoy the festival from 11:30am-6pm on Sunday, September 28, as it transforms Fort Tryon Park into a medieval market town. Get ready for music, dance, magic, minstrels, jugglers, jesters-not to mention the jousting between knights on horseback! To honor this occasion, New Leaf will turn into a special biergarten, offering kielbasa, bratwurst and burgers, and serving up house-made pretzels, savory and sweet pies, and spice cake! We’ll also be offering domestic craft beer and mead cocktails. Check out the full one-day menu below. Will you be milling around instead? We’re also firing up the grill along Margaret Corbin Drive, and serving up our famous braised turkey legs and corn. Unsure of what to expect? Check out our photo album to see the fun moments from previous festivals! For more details about the day-long event, check out the website for the festival here. We look forward to serving you! And, hopefully you’ve figured out what to get your special someone-but if you haven’t, no need to fret: Consider the lasting gift of funding an NYC tree in his/her honor. Fund one today to receive a beautiful, personalized tree certificate signed by New York Restoration Project (NYRP) Founder Bette Midler and Former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
Remember that net proceeds from New Leaf go to NYRP, the Bette Midler-founded non-profit that’s dedicated to restoring green spaces throughout the five boroughs. Your Valentine’s Day meal will do more than romance-it greens the under-resourced neighborhoods of NYC!

Some would argue that Fort Tryon Park is never more resplendent than it is now—when the green months of summer transform into the rioting colors of fall. The crisp air, warmed by the bright sun, is the perfect combination for enjoying NYC outdoors. Stop by the New Leaf as we introduce our fall menu and dine on our outdoor patio, draped by the magnificently changing leaves of Fort Tryon’s towering trees.
