About New Leaf

Located in Northern Manhattan’s Fort Tryon Park, New Leaf Restaurant & Bar offers a seasonal, modern American menu, inspired by local green markets, upstate farms and New York City’s community gardens. Open since 2001, New Leaf serves lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch year-round as well as hosts a number of private events and weddings. New Leaf is a Michelin Guide-recommended, Zagat rated, Open Table Diner’s Choice restaurant.

A short walk from The Cloisters, a branch of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New Leaf is proud to be a part of the landscape of beautiful Fort Tryon Park. Surrounded by historic trees, lively gardens, and serene walkways, the 1930’s cottage and outdoor patio offer a truly unique experience. Whether you are joining for lunch or dinner in the intimate dining room, weekend brunch on the garden patio, or signature cocktails in the bar and tavern room, the tranquil setting may lead you to forget you’re still in Manhattan.

COFFEED - An Eatery, Roastery and Charity

In 2015, New Leaf – formerly operated by Bette Midler’s New York Restoration Project (NYRP), was taken over by COFFEED Corp. COFFEED, founded in 2012, is a for-profit chain of coffee shops, cafes, and restaurants with a charitable concept build into the company business plan. A percentage of gross sales from all COFFEED locations (branded and otherwise) gets donated to various causes. COFFEED has done minor renovations to spruce up New Leaf, while keeping the charm loved by all patrons. Dining at New Leaf remains an awesome and charitable experience!
